(Waukesha, Wis.) - Greg Polkowski has joined David Buchanan's Carroll University men's basketball staff, athletic director Kris Jacobsen announced today. Polkowski reunites with Buchanan after serving as an assistant coach at UW-Superior a year ago. Polkowski was a standout student-athlete at UW-Superior from 2003-2008, the final two years as a player for Buchanan. He was a regular on the UW-Superior and Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference academic honor roll and captained the Yellowjackets during the 2007-2008 season. Polkowski ended that campaign earning the Mertz Mortorelli Award, an honor given to the most dedicated male student-athlete. "Greg is an outstanding addition to our staff. I was fortunate to coach Greg for two seasons at UW-Superior and then have him stay on as an assistant last year," said Buchanan. "I'm very pleased to have him join the program at Carroll. Our student-athletes will benefit from his work ethic, commitment to the program and experience as a student-athlete." Polkowski's primary roles on the coaching staff will be recruiting, scouting, directing camps and clinics and individual skill development. He graduated Cum Laude in 2008 with a degree in Physical Education. 2009-2010 Men's Basketball Home Page
